  • Fantastic and amazing experience, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to have a memorable time. Had the superior seasonal omakase course and drink pairing. The food was delicious and the owner/chef took the time to explain each dish. Ingredients were sourced from all over Japan personally by the chef, and he made many of the items by himself. What I also liked was the plates and cups that was utilised. Each one was unique and came from different Japanese craftsmen, which the chef also sourced by himself

  • The whole meal and experience were excellent from start to finish. My favorite dish was the collection of small bites all lined up neatly from left to right. I also included a photo of an actual plate (the black and white one with no food on it) that we purchased to bring back to New York with us. The dishes and plates and cups and bowls used in the service are all so creative, and some are available for purchase. Be sure to go upstairs even if you don't need the washroom to see some of the creative designs.

  • A phenomenal gastronomical experience in Osaka. There is pairing options as well with drinks. Each dish is beautifully crafted, and tastes as delicious as it looks. Full of umami flavour. They were all my favourite. The place is adorned with gorgeous pottery and artwork by various Japanese artists. A memorable experience in Osaka.

  • Amazing Michelin bib gourmand restaurant. Went for dinner on a Wednesday and got to sit at the counter and watch the food preparation. Kimihiro-San is an artist and has curated a pottery selection which makes his beautiful dishes even more stunning. The 10 course meal was perfect and the 3 sake tasting option was also excellent. Upstairs there is pottery for sale. It is an intimate, beautiful restaurant. We emailed 1 week ahead of time to ensure gluten-free accommodations and Kimihiro was very responsive and made noodles of kudzu and potato for me! Highly recommend for a special night. Reservation required.

  • An amazing dining experience worthy of Michelin stars! We are so grateful that we only discovered this hidden gem because it was located between our hotel and the Osaka Castle. I enjoyed the 7 types of sake pairing while my wife enjoyed the tea pairing. Each dish was delightful in presentation, taste, and uniqueness. Chef Shono’s dedication to his craft can be felt through every bite. The restaurant also showcases Japanese pottery, which adds to the experience. I hope the photos conveyed even a fraction of our wonder. Reservation is a must and highly recommend you do so. We recommend this restaurant to our friends and will certainly be back!

  • Choosing a truly great restaurant as a foreign traveler can feel like an uphill battle unless you have a local foodie friend to guide you. Many places boast impressive visuals but fall short on the actual essence—flavor. On top of that, a lot of establishments invest more in marketing than in the quality of their dishes. Honestly, it makes sense from a business perspective: maximizing profits and attracting the masses often requires a marketer’s mindset rather than that of a culinary artisan. Because of this trend, I’ve stopped relying on universally recognized benchmarks like Michelin stars, avoid places with heavy corporate involvement, and even think twice about restaurants with an overwhelming number of glowing Google reviews. Instead, I look for small establishments with fewer tables, where the atmosphere is serene and intimate, and where the chef’s personality shines through every detail—from the food to the decor to the tableware. This spot was exactly that. The photos alone radiate a sense of craftsmanship and authenticity. It didn’t feel like they were following a cookie-cutter formula to hit commercial success metrics; rather, the chef’s unique style and sensibilities were evident in every aspect of the experience. This was a modern yet refined take on kaiseki, deeply rooted in local traditions but elevated by the chef’s sophisticated touch. One dish that stood out was the kasujiru (soup made with sake lees), which had a delicate sweetness from the fermented rice. Balancing such subtle flavors isn’t easy, but when a chef truly understands harmony and refinement, you know every dish served will be exceptional. Here, the benchmark wasn’t adhering to tradition but the taste itself. The chef’s talent and attention to detail were even apparent in the pairing options—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—each of which was either brilliantly crafted or refreshingly inventive. As someone whose brain is directly wired to their taste buds, I’m always evaluating the balance of flavors in any F&B experience. The chef here demonstrated an extraordinary sense of multisensory balance that few can achieve. There’s so much more I could say, but I’ll leave it at this: stop scrolling through reviews and photos. If you’re looking for an unforgettable kaiseki experience in Osaka, let this place speak directly to your senses. You won’t regret it!

  • A really beautiful experience overall! The dishes are constructed with care, built from interesting and unique ingredients, and brought together in fun and creative ways. All the plateware is unique, and the pieces really embody the Japanese aesthetic of asymmetric beauty. We had a great time chatting with the owner, and he had great insight about seafood from different regions, and what we should try in different places in Japan. Would absolutely recommend this kaiseki to anyone

  • Our dinner was outstanding. Every dish was incredibly delicious. Both the sake and the whiskey were exceptionally good. The service and atmosphere were top-notch. We felt very comfortable and simply enjoyed the ambiance and Japanese cuisine. Thank you to the chef for an unforgettable experience
